Use our Gratuity Calculator UAE gratuity calculator to get a clear, fast estimate of your end-of-service pay.
Why our calculator stands out?
Most online gratuity tools only cover the basic formula. Ours is designed for real situations for a result you can trust:

Wage Frequency
Enter salary as monthly, weekly, or daily, and the calculator converts it correctly.
Transparent math
The formula and your exact inputs are shown clearly, so you can double-check everything.
Unpaid Leave
Excluded from service days without manual math.
Legacy Contracts
Checks if you started before Feb 2, 2022 and applies the correct resignation/ termination rules.
Part-time Handling
Just add your % of full-time hours, and the payout is adjusted automatically.
How to use the calculator (quick)
- Choose your regime – Mainland or Free Zone. For ADGM, pick Free Zone and tick “ADGM (no cap)”. DIFC uses DEWS (see our guide).
- Enter basic salary (AED) – basic only; no allowances.
- Add service dates – dd/mm/yyyy. The tool prorates partial years and removes unpaid-leave days if you add them.
- Tap Calculate – view Total Gratuity, Service (Y/M/D), Daily Wage, Unpaid, Cap, Contract, Reason, plus Year-by-Year and Step-by-Step Calculation.

Advanced (if needed)
- Part-Time % scales your result.
- Unpaid leave (days) removes those days from service.
- Wage frequency converts monthly/weekly/daily to a daily rate.
- Legacy rules for older Unlimited contracts (resignation tiers): <3y → 1/3, 3–<5y → 2/3, ≥5y → full. Unlimited + termination → full. Limited → standard rule.

What changes your result
- Using total pay instead of basic (don’t).
- Typo in dates (format dd/mm/yyyy).
- Unpaid leave not entered in Advanced.
- Not applying the right legacy setting for older Unlimited contracts.
- Leaving Part-Time % at 100 when you were not full-time.
Quick example
- Basic salary: AED 7,000
- Service: 2 years 8 months
- Unpaid leave: 0
- Regime: Mainland
Tap Calculate to see the total end-of-service benefits amount.

How the calculation works
- First 5 years → 21 days of basic pay per year.
- Cap: not more than two years of basic salary.
- After 5 years → 30 days per year.
- Part-time: scaled by your percent of full-time hours.
- The tool shows the math so you can check.
Worked example with Advanced options
Let’s see a quick run-through you can copy.
- Basic salary: AED 7,000
- Service: 2 years 8 months
- Unpaid leave: 14 days
- Part-time: 80%
- Regime: Mainland
- Contract: Unlimited (legacy does not apply if you started after Feb 2022)
Steps
- Enter 7,000 as basic salary.
- Add your start and end dates.
- Open Advanced. Enter 14 in unpaid leave. Set Part-Time % = 80.
- Choose Monthly (or your true wage frequency).
- Tap Calculate.
What you’ll see
- Service (Y/M/D) shows the exact time in service minus the 14 unpaid days.
- Daily wage comes from your wage frequency.
- Total gratuity reflects the service length and the 80% part-time scale.
- A year-by-year table shows how each period adds up.
- The Step-by-Step Calculation explains the math. You can cross-check it in seconds.
